Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 20 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes
Ingredients:
2 fish fillets (tilapia, cod, or sea bass work great)
4 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
1/4 cup olive oil
1 tsp lemon zest
2 tbsp lemon juice
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions:
Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Prepare Garlic Oil:
In a small skillet, heat olive oil over low heat. Add sliced garlic and gently sauté until golden (about 2–3 minutes). Do not let it burn. Remove from heat, stir in lemon zest, and set aside.
Season the Fish:
Place fish fillets in a baking dish. Season both sides with salt and pepper. Drizzle half the garlic oil over the fillets, reserving the rest.
Bake:
Bake uncovered for 15–20 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
Finish & Serve:
Drizzle remaining garlic oil over the baked fish. Squeeze fresh lemon juice on top and garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Serve hot with lemon wedges.
Serving Suggestion:
Pair it with roasted veggies, a green salad, or a bed of couscous for a complete meal.
